It is settled. On 12 August 2026 the European Broadcasting Union and Bulgarian National Television confirmed that Burgas will host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, at Arena Burgas (up to ~15,000 for concerts). The dates were announced too: Semi-Finals on Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 May, Grand Final on Saturday 15 May 2027.
Burgas saw off Sofia in the final round, after Plovdiv and Varna were eliminated on 13 July. The decision followed joint EBU and BNT visits to both remaining cities, assessing venue, accommodation capacity, transport links and financial guarantees.
