When is Eurovision 2027?
Semi-Final 1 is on Tuesday 11 May, Semi-Final 2 on Thursday 13 May and the Grand Final on Saturday 15 May 2027, all at Arena Burgas. Two preview shows precede each live show, so six preview shows run between 10 and 15 May. Live shows start at 21:00 CEST, which is 22:00 in Bulgaria.
Where is Eurovision 2027 held?
In Burgas, on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, at Arena Burgas, a venue opened in 2023. The EBU and BNT announced the host city on 12 August 2026 after a selection process in which Sofia was the other finalist.
Why is Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria?
DARA won the 2026 contest in Vienna with "Bangaranga", scoring 516 points with a record 173-point winning margin. It was Bulgaria's first victory since its debut in 2005, so BNT hosts the 71st contest.
When do tickets go on sale?
No date has been announced. The EBU says on-sale dates, categories and prices will be published at a later stage. Recent contests opened sales between late November and mid January; Vienna 2026 opened on 13 January. The Ticket Tracker on this site records the status and every official announcement.
Where can I buy official tickets?
Only through the official ticketing channels that the EBU and BNT will announce. The ticketing partner has not been named. The EBU warns fans to be wary of unofficial websites or individuals offering Eurovision 2027 tickets before the official sale.
Do I need a Eurofan account?
Yes. The EBU has confirmed that only people with a Eurofan account will be able to buy tickets. Registration on eurovision.com is free. Do it now, before the sale is announced.
How much will tickets cost?
Prices are not announced. There will be different categories, with pricing and seating confirmed closer to the sale. For orientation, Vienna 2026 ran from EUR 15 to 360 and Basel 2025 from about EUR 11 to 372.
How many shows can I attend?
Nine. Three televised live shows, and two preview shows before each of them: the jury show the evening before and the family show on the afternoon of the broadcast.
Who will host the shows?
The hosts of Eurovision 2027 have not been announced.
Which countries are taking part?
The EBU publishes the final list of participating broadcasters later in 2026. So far Canada has confirmed a debut, North Macedonia returns after skipping 2026, and Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has said it will not compete. Bulgaria, as host, is automatically in the Grand Final.
Where should I stay?
Burgas city centre and the Sea Garden are the natural base, about 10 minutes by taxi from the arena. Izgrev sits next to the arena. Pomorie, Sunny Beach, Nessebar and Sozopol are 20 to 35 km away with far more beds. The EBU advises against non-refundable travel bookings until ticket details are published. Can I attend Eurovision events without a ticket?
Some events outside the arena are expected to be open to the public, including free activities in the host city. The EBU says details, including which events are free and whether registration is required, will be announced later. Past host cities ran a Eurovision Village fan zone with big screens all week.
Will Eurovision 2027 be accessible for disabled fans?
The EBU says accessibility is part of the planning and that information about accessible seating, facilities, transport and other requirements will be published, with fans who have specific needs receiving details before tickets go on sale.
How can I watch if I don't have a ticket?
The Semi-Finals and the Grand Final are broadcast by participating public broadcasters across Europe and beyond, and on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel subject to territorial restrictions. Official public viewing events will be announced closer to the contest.
What currency does Bulgaria use?
The euro, since 1 January 2026. Prices on this site are in euros.
Do I need a visa for Bulgaria?
Bulgaria is a Schengen member. EU and EEA citizens travel on an ID card or passport. Other nationalities follow the Schengen visa rules that apply to them, so check the requirements for your passport before booking.
Is Bulgaria expensive?
No. Bulgaria has the lowest price level in the EU for restaurants and hotels according to Eurostat. Typical city-centre prices are EUR 2 to 3.50 for a beer and EUR 10 to 20 for a sit-down meal. Hotel prices for contest week are the exception; the Cost Index and the Bed Index on this site track them.
How do I get from Sofia to Burgas?
It is about 380 km. Buses and trains take around six hours with several departures a day, and the flight takes about 55 minutes. BNT's official site reported additional Sofia to Burgas flights being added after the host city announcement.
How far is Burgas Airport from the arena?
Burgas Airport is about 8 km from the city centre and about 6 km from Arena Burgas. Dedicated contest-week transport arrangements will be announced once the operational plan is final.
